At home for a bit? Make the most of these free TV trials

Let's face it, we're all going to be at home more one way or another for a while longer. So some decent home entertainment is going to be pretty essential.

There are plenty of free TV streaming trials that you can take advantage of right now.

Bear in mind, if you've had a trial with the service already, you probably won't get another one (but hey, you could get a friend or family member to sign up!) 😉

Netflix: watch these shows for free

Sadly, the UK is one of the places where Netflix doesn't currently offer a freebie 😠

But Netflix has made a selection of films and shows available to watch for free. No need to sign up, you can just go to the site and hit play ▶

The free shows are only available on the web via a computer or on an Android device. And they're just the pilot episodes. So if you want to watch the whole shebang, you'll need to subscribe.

Amazon Prime continues to expand its offering. You can watch 1000s of shows and movies, including Amazon Originals. You can also watch live sport, including some Premier League games.

Apple TV+ 7 day free trial

Okay, it's not the longest free trial in the world, but if you have a bit of free time, you might be able to binge quite a few box sets in a week!

The standard standalone trial is 7 days (it's £4.99/month after the trial period, so make a note to cancel if you don't want to start paying).

You can also get one year free if you buy certain Apple devices, or one month free if you're rolling it into an Apple One bundle of up to 5 other Apple services.
