Eating, drinking, TV and travel – for less

Other than eating and drinking I signed up for a 7-day free trial of NOW TV's Cinema (it gives access to Sky Cinema too, all in full HD (ad-free) quality).

I also very much enjoyed streaming the Europa and Champions League finals, thanks to BTs free coverage.

Whilst doing some research on furniture, I discovered the benefits of holding an IKEA Family Card. Have you heard of their 'Oops Insurance'? It gets you a free replacement if your item is damaged on the way home, or while assembling it - brilliant!

I got excited about a 25% discount on an annual English Heritage membership, which gives you 'free' entry to over 400 sites in England & Wales (use promo code 'TZ2022' on the Travelzoo website).

There are also over a million rooms on offer for £32 or less per night at Travelodge, for stays until March 2023 – check it out.

And remember, if you’re looking to escape abroad, make sure you apply at least 10 weeks in advance to ensure your passport gets issued in time for your trip.

Talking of heading overseas, I’m also a keen user of 'Curve'. It’s a great card for both domestic and international spend and, even better, they're ditching foreign transaction fees until 31 Aug '22, which means you won’t pay fees abroad when you pay with Curve.
